Bio: Dr. Wanlass graduated Magna Cum Laude from SCU in 1999, and has been in private practice in California and Nevada. He is an Associate Professor of Chiropractic Technique.

He has authored several books on Strength Training and Sports Nutrition.
I was on the medical team for the World Shotokan Karate Championships in 1997 in Riverside, CA. I have treated professional and gold medal athletes, fire, police, military, and special forces personnel, in both California and Nevada. I was an E.M.T. for 4 years, and I have been Certified in CPR and BLS since 1989.
I have competed and won medals in swimming, cross-country running, 10K runs, triathlons, bicycling, golf, firearms competitions, Shorin-ryu karate, and I was the personal training partner for a two-time Hawaii Ironman® Triathlon competitor.
I was the lead instructor of CP 5 from 2003-2005. I have been the lead instructor of CP 4 since 2007, lead of CP 6 from 2009-2010, lead of the Cox Technique Elective from 2008-2010, lead instructor of Chiropractic Theories & Principles 2010-2011, and the lead of History of Healthcare since the spring of 2012.
I have been Certified in the Cox® Flexion-Distraction Technic since 2008. I am one of only 31 doctors in California who are Certified in the Cox Technique. I am the creator of the Cox Elective Course at SCU. In 2009, I started the Activator Club at SCU. I was the Faculty Advisor for the SOT and Activator Technique Clubs for over 2 years.
In the summer of 2012, I lead a research study comparing 5 palpation techniques to find a subluxation in the thoracic spine. The study was completed with 50 participants and the abstract has been submitted to the ACC-RAC for the 2013 conference in Washington, D.C.
Awards:
1985: I received Certificates of Achievement in Computer Programming, Spanish 3, and Honors English. I belonged to the California Scholarship Federation.
1989- Current: Certified in C.P.R. and Basic Life Support since 1989.
1996-1999: Dean’s list for all 10 terms while at L.A.C.C., inducted into the Delta Sigma Honorary Scholastic Society.
1999: Graduated Magna Cum Laude from Los Angeles College of Chiropractic with a G.P.A. of 3.69
1999: Awarded the honor of being included in the 2000 edition of “Who’s Who in American Colleges and Universities”.
1999: I scored in the 94th percentile nation wide on the Chiropractic National Board Exam Part IV.
2005: I scored in the 94th percentile on the Nevada Chiropractic Physicians' Board Exam.
2008: I completed Parts 1, II, & the practical exam to become Certified in Cox Technique.
2011: Re-certified in the Cox Technique. One of 31 doctors in California.
